PROJECT SUMMARY
A workbook featuring vectorised synthesisers that I produced as a gift. This project involved creating many vectors of synth interfaces, font identification and research, printing, hand-cutting, and typography.
PROJECT DETAILS
The purpose of the workbook was to provide a simple way for a friend to record settings and patch notes for synthesises so they could be referred to and replicated for later use.
THE CHALLENGE
This project was an enjoyable typographical challenge. I spent many nights researching all the recipient's synthesisers in order to identify typefaces used on their interfaces, as well as discover technical and interesting trivia to detail in a specification section for each synth. Details of every typeface were also provided in an appendix at the back of the workbook because I am a terrible typography nerd.
THE SYNTHS
I also created vectorised images of every synth with the intention of settings being circled, marked in, or indicated easily.
PRINTING
Printing was very generously completed by the wonderful people at Impact Media in Brunswick. All tabbed pages were hand-cut and every hole carefully hole punched.
